Bay Area Science Forum: Water Resources in the San Francisco Bay Area (EVT 201)
The Bay Area Science Forum seeks to inform the general public on important issues in science, and to provide local citizens the opportunity to discuss these issues with members of the scientific community. Increasing awareness of issues facing us today will ensure a better tomorrow.
Access to fresh water in the Bay Area requires more than just turning on the faucet. Water resources are a major issue in California, with ongoing questions about building new dams, draining Hetch Hetchy, repairing levees in the Sacramento Delta, and responding to changing climate impacts, to name just a few. Moderated discussions with scientists on Bay Area water resources will disseminate current research and contribute to more informed decisions by local residents.
