ART 180

Digital Photography Primer

(ART 180)

This course is intended as a survey of the necessary tools and techniques required to thrive in the new digital photography realm. We will explore the best ways of using our cameras, when and how the computer should be applied, and what is necessary for establishing a good digital workflow. The taking, processing, manipulating, displaying, printing, and storing of digital images will be demonstrated and discussed.

This course is intended for those with some familiarity with photography and computer use. Students should have a digital camera capable of manual control. This course includes one field photography session.
