Contrary to popular belief, most people afford themselves fewer—not more—career opportunities as they get older. As our professional selves become more defined over time, our ideas of which jobs we should or shouldn’t consider become increasingly calcified, often resulting in career ruts. In this course, you will learn about the “seven intelligences,” the differentiation of human intelligence into specific intelligences rather than a single, general ability. Some examples include logical-mathematical intelligence, interpersonal intelligence, and linguistic intelligence. Students will learn how to identify and use these strengths to deal with foreseeable obstacles, such as competition and lack of experience, as well as unforeseeable obstacles, like the impact of AI on the job market. This course is designed for mid-level professionals who want individual guidance. By the end of the course, students will have gained practical insights about themselves that they can apply immediately—and in the long term—for greater career mobility and advancement.
